un-packing

i have been labouring to pack for the move, but haven't ended up packing as much as one would hope. what i've been doing is the un-most of packing. it's basically un-packing, which should never be confused with unpacking: a similar but unrelated task.

i found a small slip of paper tonight with a german (?) phrase scribbled on it: in unserem land wurden wir solch einen hut nur einem esel aufsetzen. below, it has been translated as: in my country we would put such a hat only on a donkey.

seriously have to get moving on this packing, though.
