does god hear bumper-sticker prayers?
Wednesday, Sept. 08, 2004 @ 10:03 a.m.

a vanilla sky over this stagnant city, and a sticker on the window of a jeep inviting the divine to bless a militant nation.

i went to the fair this weekend with amy! we risked our lives on carnie rides and watched cars blow each other up. then we ate all day the following day and jumped on the trampoline under the stars and wondered about randall's soul. i talked to her about helicon 2, and all of the other most beautiful experiences of my short, short life. and suddenly, she did feel like a best friend. a female model of something i've never had all to myself before. it's exciting and new and surprisingly funny! and in so being, fantastic because humour is harder to write than tragedy and i've never had a muse.

which reminds me to ask: do any prospective hamilton subletters want my fabulous apartment? i should make it a bargain, for i'm desperate to go home to hockley.
